Postdoctoral Fellows and Postgraduate Students

We currently accept applications for 8 postdoctoral research positions and offer 8 PhD research studentships in the broad field of nanophotonics and metamaterials with a particular focus on the following topics:

• Reconfigurable electromagnetic space
• Cognitive nanophotonics
• Quantum switching
• Nanoscale sources of light

Working for the CDPT will provide exceptional personal development opportunities in a vibrant international environment: postdoctoral fellows will assume roles of project leaders, from whom we expect creative and inquisitive mind and conceptual thinking. For students we are looking for bright, ambitious and hard-working individuals to join our team of scientists engaged in high-risk, high return research on the crossroads of nanotechnology, photonics and fundamental solid state physics.

Postdoctoral research positions are offered for the initial period of two years with a possible extension, subject to review. Salaries, up to S$100,000/annum are negotiable depending on experience. Candidates shall possess a PhD degree or equivalent and demonstrate exceptional research track records in the field of photonics, solid state physics, nanotechnology or other relevant disciplines.

PhD Research Studentships are offered with stipend from S$2,500 to 3,800 per month. We expect applications from first class graduates in physics, engineering or materials science.
